In the Chevy Trailblazer, the windshield washer fluid is stored in a reservoir and pumped through a flexible hose by an electric pump on demand. It sprays out through two plastic spray nozzles on the hood and one by the rear window. Several common problems may cause the washer fluid sprayers to stop working, but most of them are easy to find and fix if you use the proper steps. Raise the hood and trace the flexible hose running from the plastic spray nozzles near the windshield back to the pump, and from there to the washer fluid reservoir.
If the hose has come loose, secure it onto its fittings. Start the vehicle and activate the front washer fluid sprayers by pressing the windshield washer paddle. Listen for the sound of an electric pump. If you cannot hear the pump working, check fuse 9 in the fuse box on the driver's side of the engine compartment and replace it if necessary.
Activate the rear washer fluid sprayer by pressing the dashboard button in the center of the rear wiper control dial. Listen for the sound of the electric pump. If you cannot hear the pump working, check fuse 7 in the fuse box and replace it if necessary. Replace the electric pump if the fuses are intact but it still doesn't work. Remove the battery cables from the TrailBlazer's battery before working on the electrical system to prevent accidental electric shock and potential injury.
A mechanic can test and replace the pump for you if you are not comfortable doing so. Check for clogs in the hose if the electric pump runs but one or more spray nozzles do not work.
If the hose is clogged, replace it with a new hose or blow compressed air through it to clear the clog. Replace the plastic spray nozzles if the hose is free of clogs but spray cannot get through the nozzle when the hose is hooked up.
The nozzles pop in and out easily if you twist and slide them around. This article was written by the It Still Works team, copy edited and fact checked through a multi-point auditing system, in efforts to ensure our readers only receive the best information.

About the Author This article was written by the It Still Works team, copy edited and fact checked through a multi-point auditing system, in efforts to ensure our readers only receive the best information.I have a Chevy Trailblazer and all of the sudden my rear wiper and washer quit working.
I checked the relays underneath the hood I did so by swapping them out with a different component an example the horn High Beam lights and they work I don't really even know where to start I've never had problems with the rear window wiper and washer please help thank you. Go to the under hood fuse block and check fuse 7 and relay They are listed as powering the rear window washer.
Now go to the fuse block under the rear seat on the driver's side. Check fuse 9, it's listed as powering the wiper motor. But since the wiper and the washer are powered by separate circuits, it puzzles me how they both quit at the same time But anyway, start by checking the fuses and relay I listed.
Let us know what happened. GM doesn't want you to start the engine, and have the wiper come on unintentionally while frozen to the rear window, and burn out the motor. So reset it by turning it Off then On to reset it. Tell me if that works. FJ answered about a year ago. On our platform, 2 things I'd look out for. Like the previous guy said, open the liftgate, check the rubber grommets up top and look for freyed or broken wires.
On the water, operate the rear washer, do you hear the pump? Front and rear pumps are located on the front of the windshield wiper fluid reservoir.
If you do hear the pump, go lift the liftgate and look for water at the latch. I myself have had the tube pop off the back of the nozzle, it's too short, which will spray water inside the gate.
I just lengthened the tube, done deal. Justin answered about a year ago. The fuse box under the rear seat with the fuse number 9 that operates the rear wiper motor is actually a 15 amp 4 volt automatic reset circuit breakers and I cannot find one anywhere in my city. However I did start my truck turn on the rear wiper switch and check to see if I was getting power to that fuse and I'm not.
Would it be such a switch is bad? That's a tough question. Since the switch is the only thing left in the circuit, I would suspect the switch is bad but I can't be sure.
If it's very expensive, you may want to devise a test of some kind before replacing it. I can't be sure on what's really going on with the rear wiper motor system. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't but with that being said I don't know where I'm losing power. And trying to test 4 power when the system isn't working properly is impossible. Are you there.
A loose ground or a short and one of my wires. Finding out which one that is is probably going to be out of my capabilities. It can be frustrating when your vehicle keeps blowing your windshield wiper and washer fuses.
Rear window wiper and washer suddenly stop working
Several reasons exist for a blown fuse for windshield wipers and washers. The windshield wiper or washer motor could be drawing too much current. To see if this is the problem, disconnect the wiper motor for a little while. If the fuse doesn't blow, the motor is drawing too much current.
Another reason for a blown fuse for your windshield wipers and washers may be debris or ice built up around the wipers. Look around the wipers and see if there is anything that could be interfering with the arm movement, and remove it. Test to see if this was causing the problem. If you have a fuse that keeps blowing, do not replace it with a larger, higher amp fuse. The size of the fuse is predetermined to help protect the circuit.
If a larger amp fuse is placed where it is not needed, it will not stop the flow of the current when necessary. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Chevrolet Impala based on all problems reported for the Impala. A week or so later I ran into a heavy downpour while driving west on I from memphis to little rock.
The wiper portion of blade assembly began to work its way out of the end of the holder and quickly reached about 5 to 6 inches outside the holder. The rubber began to whip around and I had to pull off the highway to put the rubber part back in place.
This happened 3 more times before I had to stop and search out a Mini-mart where I could buy a roll of electrical tape to tape the rubber end tightly enough so it would stop flying out of the holder. See all problems of the Chevrolet Impala. The contact owns a Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the windshield wipers do not go down when the vehicle is turned off or when the wipers are deactivated.
The vehicle was taken to a mechanic, who stated that the wiper motor was bad. The contact disagrees because the windshield wipers still work. She has not taken the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealer for repair. The failure mileage was 75, Winshield wipers will not go down in the park position. Fixed once at dealer and within a week broke again. Car still under warranty, but dealer refused to fix at their expense. Hard to drive with winshield wipers in up position blocking view. Driver's side wiper quit moving and got bent by the other wiper hitting itso I took it to the dealer.
They said it was probably because of turning them on when there was too much snow on them. They replaced the driver's side arm, which was stripped. It worked ok for a while, then the driver's side quit again, before it snowed. Took off arm and saw that the arm was stripped again. Switched the arms so I'd have at least one working wiper.
Windshield wipers when turned on off are in an upright postion on windshield. The contact stated a screw in the passenger's side windshield wiper was loose. This problem should only appear in freezing conditions. However it happened when it was raining.
This caused the passenger's side wiper was not to work properly. There was a reduction in visibility. The vehicle was taken to the dealership several times. Each time they tighten the screw located at the base of the wiper.Last Updated: July 27, References Approved.

A washer pump in a vehicle sprays washer fluid from a reservoir through hoses and onto your windshield to clean off dirt and dust that could obstruct your vision. The pump pressurizes the fluid so it can spray out, but it may work less effectively over time. The tank could be empty or there might be a damaged component that you can easily fix on your own. Warning: Avoid spraying compressed air from the exterior ends of the nozzles.
You could damage the valves that prevent dirt and other materials from getting into the hoses. Tip: Typically, the washer pump is on the same fuse as the motors that control the wiper arm. If they share a fuse and the wiper arms still move when you turn them on, then you have a faulty pump. To start, look at the washer fluid reservoir to see if you spot any dirt or debris, which could be clogging the system. If there is any dirt, simply remove the reservoir from your car and clean it thoroughly.
Once you replace it, check the rubber hose that connects the reservoir for cracks and leaks, since this could be affecting your windshield washer. Did this summary help you?

Former Vegas bookmaker Micah Roberts previews Thursday's NFL Kickoff game and shares his top play on Chiefs-Patriots. ETThe Patriots start their championship defense at home against the Chiefs on Thursday night in a spot where the spread has been rising following a trend from last season.
New England comes into the game with a key player out while Kansas City is starting a rookie running back. It's a battle between two of the most opportunistic defenses, but best of all it's the first NFL game of the year. Let's get this 2017 party started. LAS VEGAS ACTION"We opened the Patriots -7. Station Casinos have reached the highest in town at Pats -9.
The Westgate SuperBook opened New England -7 with a total at 50 on April 20 when the NFL schedule was first announced and is now dealing -9.
ROBERTS' RATINGI've got the Patriots 4 points better than the Chiefs and I give the Patriots a full 3 points for home field, so it's an easy 7-point spread for me. ADVANCED COMPUTER MODEL PICKS EVERY WEEK 1 GAMEUsually, I would jump on an opportunity like this where there's over 20 percent of perceived value at the books compared with my number, but the Patriots are a different story. Their 2016-17 season was incredible, as they went 15-3-1 ATS against inflated spreads.
GREATNESS DEFINEDTom Brady and Bill Belichick won their fifth Super Bowl together last season in what was their sixth consecutive year of making the AFC Championship game. They've had at least 12 wins for the past seven regular seasons. They've made the playoffs in 13 of their past 14 seasons. They've become an expectant dominator, but I don't think they get the full credit they deserve.
This is the greatest dynasty in the NFL.We received excellent value by booking with Nordic Visitor. I believe we had a much better vacation using their services and I believe we probably saved some money by packaging while receiving the many benefits of having a local expert help build our trip.
I am convinced that they made sure that we had the most interesting places to stay in beautiful places and the best tour operators.
The trip was extremely well organized while providing us with the flexibility to do things that my son and I enjoy. I have been arranging my husband and my honeymoon around Iceland in August from Sydney Australia.

Signy's advice was fantastic and he has helped create an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience full of exciting activities. I would not hesitate to recommend Signy and Nordic visitor as a company to anybody thinking about visiting Iceland.
I've used Nordic Visitor for two self-drive vacations now. The first, Iceland Full Circle in June 2011 was so enjoyable that I used them again this June to travel through Scandinavia. For Iceland, I followed their set itinerary, but in Scandinavia I asked them to customize their Highlights of Scandinavia tour to add stops or extra days at some locations.
Although all communication took place via email, I felt that an actual person was helping to plan my trip. For both vacations, Nordic Visitor responded to my every request and provided everything they promised.
I'd definitely use them again if I travel to the countries where they operate. I think we all loved Iceland and hope to return some day. The self-drive tour was a perfect choice because we had a safety net with Nordic Visitor but still had the independence to do what we wanted each day.
We enjoyed coming during May because nothing was crowded and we got to experience four seasons of Iceland which was certainly an adventure. If we visited again though we would probably try to come in June or later in May. I was also worried that there would be a lot of things that we would want to do which would cost more money, but all of the most amazing things were free, and were part of the Nordic Visitor Itinerary.
There were some places we explored independently of the itinerary, but that was part of the fun and freedom of the self-drive tour. This was a totally professional experience. Highly organized, great itinerary, lodging, food, everything was designed to give us trouble-free and easy activities.
And the weather cooperated too - we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend going through Nordic Visitor for any future travels. Had no worries the whole time while on vacation.
We all felt very relaxed. Kristin was very helpful and answered my many questions promptly. The mobile phone provided for cases of emergencies is a nice thought from Nordic Visitor. I found all Nordic Visitor staff I had email contact with very friendly, helpful and accommodating. When there were issues with the invoice, staff were helpful and understanding and the situation was sorted out easily.
Staff responded quickly to emails Delighted with how smoothly everything went. It was probably one of the most stress-free trips we've ever taken. I received good practical information, hotel was very nice, friendly people, excellent food. We loved the hotels accommodation especially the Icelandic farmhouses.
